IT consulting and systems architecture, from first call to handover

How an engagement with 1PT Grupp Osaühing actually runs. No stage of it is a surprise, and none of it starts before there is a signed agreement.

  1. 01

    Scoping conversation

A call or a meeting, no charge, no obligation. We want the problem in your words, the constraints you are already under, and who has to agree to a change before it can happen.

  2. 02

    Written scope

What is being built, what is explicitly out, the assumptions the estimate rests on, and how we will know it is finished. If we think the request as stated is the wrong thing to build, this is where we say so.

  3. 03

    Agreement

A written service agreement under Estonian law: scope, stages, acceptance criteria, intellectual property, confidentiality, and a data-processing annex where personal data is involved.

  4. 04

    Delivery in stages

Each stage ends with something running in an environment you control, plus the tests that show it behaves. You can stop at the end of any stage and keep everything delivered so far.

  5. 05

    Handover

Source code, build pipeline, deployment scripts and a runbook, transferred to your accounts. Support afterwards is a separate agreement, never an automatic renewal.

// the audit engagement

What a fixed-scope architecture audit produces

The deliverable is a document

Current state as we found it, a findings register ranked by risk and by cost of inaction, a target architecture with the trade-offs written down rather than implied, and a sequenced roadmap in stages that each leave the system working. Where a finding is disputed by your team, the disagreement is recorded beside it instead of being smoothed away.

An audit can be commissioned on its own. There is no obligation to have the recommendations implemented by us, and the document is written so that another supplier could act on it.

What we need from you

  • Read-only access to the code and to a representative environment
  • An hour each with the people who build, run and depend on the system
  • The constraints that are not technical — budget cycles, procurement, dates already promised
  • Whatever documentation exists, in whatever state it is in

Access is granted under the confidentiality terms in the agreement. Where the work touches personal data, a data-processing annex under GDPR Art. 28 is signed before any access is given.

// principles

How decisions get made during an engagement

The specification is the deliverable first

Code that solves a misunderstood problem is expensive in a way no amount of engineering quality repairs. Nothing is built before the scope is written down and agreed.

Reversible steps

Every migration, every cutover, every schema change has a documented way back. A plan whose only outcome is "it works" is not a plan.

Boring technology where it is load-bearing

We choose tools by what your team can operate after we leave, not by what is interesting to write. Novelty is reserved for the parts of the system where it actually pays.

You own the result

Source code, infrastructure definitions and accounts belong to the client at handover. No component of a delivered system depends on us continuing to exist.

B2B only — what we do not do

1PT Grupp Osaühing supplies IT consulting and software engineering to organisations under a written service agreement. To be unambiguous about the boundary, these are services we do not provide at all:

  • Remote technical support for consumers or home computers
  • Computer, laptop or mobile device repair
  • Password, account or data recovery on behalf of third parties
  • Unsolicited outbound calls or "your device has a virus" support offers
  • Any service supplied to a natural person acting outside a trade or profession

If you have arrived here looking for help with a personal device, an account you cannot access, or a support call you were told to make, this company is not the right place and cannot assist.
